This is a preliminary Exercise we did in class to become familiar with InDesign. I grabbed my toy car again and made it the cover image.

I used the live trace tool to create my own toy car. After tracing it, I filled it with thelive paint bucket tool.

I typed the word “relationships” in three different fonts to see what the effect of a typeface can do.

These are the results:

Fonts used in order:

1. Optima (Pretty neutral)

2. Handwriting-Dakota (Casual)

3. Edwardian Script (Old and Romantic)

These are a couple of album covers I found to be interesting.

This is my NYC Landscape composition that I created in Illustrator, and Photoshop .

These are a couple objects we traced over for an illustrator exercise. We did these exercises to get familiar with the pen tool.

My first object was a radio:

Next was a coke bottle:

Last, I traced a lava lamp:

I came across some difficulties, especially when the angles were tiny. I think with more practice, this tool will prove its useful nature.
